The aim of the “Swiss Mycology Symposium” is to foster the scientific exchange and the networking between Swiss mycologists with special emphasis on the promotion of the scientific carreers of young colleagues in order to keep the research on these fascinating organisms alive in Switzerland. The symposium takes place once a year and the location and organization is alternated among the participating institutions i.e. ETH Zürich, University of Zürich, Agroscope Reckenholz, Agroscope Wädenswil, WSL Birmensdorf and University of Neuchatel.
